Chuck Bergman, 66, passed from this life on Friday, January 11, 2013, in Des Moines. Chuck was born April 20, 1946, in Des Moines Iowa. He was a graduate of North High School and received degrees from Iowa State University and Central Missouri State University where he was a member of Phi Sigma Epsilon. In 1971, he married his wife, Cathy Cook. Chuck worked as an architect in Des Moines and was involved in many civil and commercial projects throughout the community. He was also very involved in children's sports and coached for many years with the Catholic Football League and Beaverdale Little League. Most recently Chuck worked as an architect for the Iowa Department of Transportation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Louise Bergman of Des Moines.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2926 Beaver Avenue, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity.
