Nona Ruth Johnson Baker, 84, of Oak Grove Community, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Paris Nursing Home.

She was born May 25, 1929, in Oak Grove, the daughter of William Chester and Alice Venable Johnson. She was of the Free Will Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Joe D. Baker; son-in-law, Clifford E. Duvall; granddaughter, Dedra Suzanne Duvall; brother, Dolan Johnson; and 2 sisters, Audra Johnson Powers and Betty Johnson Powers.

She is survived by a daughter, LaWanna Sue Baker Duvall; 2 grandsons, Eric Duvall and Wesley Duvall and wife Brandi; 3 great-grandchildren, Emberlee Gail Duvall, Abigail Grace Duvall and Bentley Jo Duvall; 2 brothers, Dalton Johnson and wife Shirley, and Don Johnson and wife Wilma; and 3 sisters, Lorene Rackley, Wilma Burris and Glenda and husband Bill Duvall.

Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 24, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Lee Chronister and Rev. Terry Duvall officiating. Burial is in St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday.

Pallbearers are Charles Baker, Doug Baker, Wesley Duvall, Eric Duvall, Tom Crites and Carl Rackley.
