Martha B. Arnold died at home after a long illness, widow of Elder C.W. Arnold. She was born in Pike County, Ind., March 20 1870 and on Feb 24 1888 wed W.C. Arnold her childhood sweetheart.

They lived in Pike County for ten years, Arnold doing farm work. He was ordained as a minister in 1898 and in Nov 1901 the Arnolds organized the Primitive Baptist Church in Crossville, he served as pastor there 38 years. Rev. Arnold died July 25 1939.

She is survived by one daughter Mrs. Loy Carr of Carmi, a granddaughter Mrs. Dale Henderson of Flora, 2 great grandchildren Joe and Marjorie Ruth Henderson, four brothers Dr. Walker France of Boonville, Ind., William France of Muncie, Ind., Rev. Thomas France and Enos France of Evansville, Ind. and a sister Mrs. William Lemasters of Spurgeon, Ind.
