Mrs. Metta Naomi Johnson Flynn, of 114 East Wylie avenue, died Friday, Dec. 2, 1949, at 4:15 p.m. in her home following an illness of 16 years.

Mrs. Flynn was born at Bristoria, Greene County, a daughter of Dr. Elbin J. and Ada Grimes Johnson. She resided at Claysville for several years before moving to Washington 20 years ago.

Mrs. Flynn was a member of Claysville Methodist Church. She graduated from Claysville High School in 1915. She formerly taught at the Kimmins and Claysville schools.

On June 4, 1917 she was united in marriage with Cecil B. Flynn, who survives.

Besides her husband she leaves a son, William Johnson Flynn, U.S. Army, Ft. Bragg, N. C.; her mother, Mrs. Ada Johnson; two sisters, Martha Johnson and Mrs. Mary Kleppinger, all of Allentown.

FLYNN - Friends of Mrs. Metta Naomi Johnson Flynn, of Washington, who died Dec. 2, 1949, will be received after 2 p. m. Sunday at her late home, 114 East Wylie avenue, and until Monday. Funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 5, 1949, at 2 p. m. in Brownlee Funeral Home, Claysville. Burial will be in Claysville Cemetery. H. H. Brownlee and Son, Claysville, funeral director.
