Miss Lizzie T. Abell, former resident of the county, died Sunday morning in Louisville where she had been making her home since last July. Death was due to pneumonia and followed by a brief illness. Miss Abell was a daughter of Jack Abell, who died many years ago and who previous to his death was a well known farmer of the county. She was born in the count 78 years ago, and with the exception of the few months she spent in Louisville all her life was spent here. For many years she made her home with her brother Ben F. Abell, with him in the county, and later with him when he lived in Lebanon. Following Mr. Abell's death, about 13 years ago, she lived for quite a number of years with a cousin, J. W. Spalding. Miss Abell was a devout member of the Catholic church. She was the last member of a family of seven sons and three daughters, her closest kin being two nieces, Mrs. Charles Parrott and Miss Maria Abell, and four nephews, Austin, Edward, Leo, and George Abell.

The body was brought here Sunday evening and taken to the home of Miss Maria Abell. The funeral took place at St. Augustine's church Tuesday morning , the Rev. J. A. Hogarty conducting the services. Burial was n St. Augustine's cemetery.
