Born July 13, 1928 in Baileyville, KS, son of Edward J and Rose Hulsing Bergman.

Served as an Army paratrooper during the Korean conflict. Owned and operated Bergman Ford Sales in Seneca, KS from 1965-1970. At the time of his death, he was the owner/operator of Bergman Construction Co., in Topeka, KS.

Married to Dorothy Hammes on April 27, 1957, in Livermore, CA. Father to one son and three daughters.

Funeral Mass was held at Christ the King Catholic Church, Topeka, KS. Burial with military honors in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Topeka, KS.

Note: Upon the death of his wife in 2017, his body was moved from Topeka to Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Seneca, Kansas.
