Willard Morris Anderson, age 90, of South Salem, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield, Ohio.
He was born on December 1, 1925 in Anderson Station on the Hopewell farm, the son of William Morris and Essie Ethel (VanScoy) Anderson.
He was a member of the Buckskin Community Church, formerly the South Salem Presbyterian Church.
He was a retired Nationwide Insurance agent and lifelong farmer.
He served on the Greenfield Board of Education and was a former Greenfield Rotary Club member, Ross County Farm Bureau member, Boy Scout leader, and 4-H Advisor.
He was a proud member of the Buckskin High School 1942-1943 Ross County Basketball Championship team, and greatly enjoyed bowling and golf.
He was a 1943 graduate of the Buckskin High School.
He loved his family and treasured spending time with them.
He is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Lynn Readey) Anderson of Dublin and Merilie (John) Larsen of Cincinnati; one son, Michael (Mindy) Anderson of South Salem; six grandchildren, Timothy (Mariah) Larsen, Sandy Jean (Dan) McGrath, Kelly Larsen, Joel (Natalie), Alex (Kendra) and Eric Anderson; three great grandchildren, Lyla, Brinley, and Evelyn; one sister, Ruth Bristley of Lyndon; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Holloway, Dorothy Storts and both parents.
Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 13 at the Buckskin Community Church in South Salem with Rev. Mark Current and Rev. John Larsen officiating.
Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Buckskin Community Church, P.O. Box 24, South Salem, Ohio 45681.
