West Columbia –Funeral Service for Joyce R. Amick, 83, will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2020 at Central Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family.

Mrs. Amick went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Born in West Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Huley Carroll and Magdalene Sightler Reese. She loved the Lord and her family, knitting, crocheting, her dogs, the Chihuahuas, fishing and hunting. Mrs. Amick enjoyed eating biscuits, drinking coffee, and admiring flowers.

Surviving include sons, John Lester (Marsha) Buckner jr and James Alton Buckner; daughter, Teresa Amick(Thomas) Kelly; brothers, Ronald (Myrtice) Reese, Laverne (Janice F.) Reese, Richard (Betty) Reese; sisters, Connie Ruth Reese (Norris) Derrick, Rose Marie Reese Johnson, and Debra Reese (Steve) Medley; 4 grandchildren Brandie,Jason,Maggie,and Lacy, and 5 great-grandchildren Gabriella,Cole,Lashaun, Alexnder,and Ash.

She was predeceased by her former husband John Lester Buckner sr and husband, Alton K. Amick; brothers, Edward Earl Reese and Carroll Bynam Reese; and 1 grandchild John Delany (J.D.)Moore jr.
