JAMES KRUM ABBOTT "JIM", 80. Jim passed away peacefully on May 28, 2013 at his home in Boca Raton, Florida. He is the only son of William P. Abbott and Francis E. Krum both of whom precede him in death.

He was born (10-24-1932) and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where he began his career of investment banking. Jim lived life to the fullest and filled his time with world travel, a passion for the arts, fine wine and most of all, the love of his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mary Althans Abbott.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Julie K. Nickum (nee Abbott) of Lorain, OH; son John P. Abbott of Camden, SC and granddaughter, Christina L. Nickum, also of Lorain, OH.

A memorial service will be held in the Wade Memorial Chapel at Lakeview Cemetery on July 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

Family will receive friends at a memorial gathering immediately following at The Cleveland Skating Club, (2500 Kemper Road).

Any donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
