Mr. J.B. Gilliam, 81, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003 at Veterans Hospital in Nashville.
Mr. Gilliam was born in Maury County to the late Henry and Delsie Ervin Gilliam and made his home in Bon Aqua. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired aircraft worker with Avco. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Mae Warren Gilliam of Bon Aqua; sons, Larry (Brenda) Gilliam and Jimmy (Donna) Gilliam, both of Columbia; daughters, Carolyn (Jimmy) Vaughn of Lyles, Brenda (Ricky) Taylor of Murfreesboro; brothers, Cecil (Cindy) Gilliam of Bon Aqua, Charles (Juanita) Gilliam of Bon Aqua, Norris Gilliam of Thompson?s Station; sisters, Mae Turner of Mi., Mildred Hargrove of Santa Fe, Tenn., Evelyn Andrews of Goodlettsville, pal (Dan) Tucker of Millersville, Shirley (Clyde) Hill of Burns, Dot (Cliff) Vaughn of Columbia and Barbara (Thomas) Coleman of Leipers Fork; sister-in-law, Vera Gilliam of Kingston Springs; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Curtis Manor officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mike, Bryan and Eric Taylor, Darrell Gilliam, Jeff Donnely, Bubba Wise, Jeff Curl, Jamie Smithson, Steve Sells and Ryan Johnston. Visitation was Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
