Dr. Harvey S. Huxtable, age 86, of Mineral Point, died at his home early Monday, July 26, 1982, after suffering a heart attack. He was born in Mineral Point, the son of the late George and Anna Harvey Huxtable. He was a 1914 graduate of Mineral Point High School. He later graduated from the Northwestern Dental School in 1917. Mr. Huxtable entered the practice of dentistry in Mineral Point in 1917, and continued his practice until about three years ago He was a member of the local, state and national dental societies. He served as vice president of the American Dental Association and was a past president of the Wisconsin Dental Association. He had served several terms on the State Board of Dental Examiners and had held various offices in the District Dental Association. He was a 32nd degree mason, a member of the Odd Fellows, a member of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Mineral Point Kiwanis Club. He had served a number of terms on the Mineral Point School Board and was active in many other community activities. He was a member of the United Church of Christ of Mineral Point. He was married to the former Ruth Penhallegon of Mineral Point in 1919.
One daughter, Mrs. Jean Arneson, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Ritter and Miss Marion Huxtable preceded him in death.
