TUSCOLA - Anna Louise Rogers, 85, of Diamondhead, Mississippi, formerly of Tuscola, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2005, in First United Methodist Church in Tuscola, with Reverend Bill Alexander officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Tuscola Cemetery, directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home. No visitation is planned.

Anna was born February 26, 1920, to James Luther and Lydia Ellen Beard in Karnes City. She moved to Tuscola at an early age and graduated from Tuscola High School, now Jim Ned High School. She married Conway Rogers October 3, 1936. An L.V.N. she worked at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, as well as hospitals in Colorado, New Orleans, Tulsa and Duncanville, Oklahoma. She moved to Mississippi from Duncanville in 1998. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a Methodist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband February 18, 1973; and a son, Stan Rogers.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Rogers Sewell and husband James of Diamondhead, Mississippi; a daughter-in-law, Maureen Rogers of Mancos, Colorado; a sister, Beulah Mae Dusek of Abilene; six grandchildren, Debbie Scarpero of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jamie Sewell of Houston, Connie Vaughn of Wiggins, Mississippi, Sherri Pacquin, Mark Rogers and Jana Rogers, all of Mancos, Colorado; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
