Dorothy was born March 8, 1927 in La Grande, Oregon, to Forrest and Laura Carpenter. She married Glenn Lockner on August 28, 1946 in Ontario, OR. They resided in Fruitland, raising three sons.
Dorothy worked many years in the kitchen at Fruitland Elementary School. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with family. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents and six siblings.
Dorothy is survived by her sons: David (Glenda) Lockner, Bob “Otis” (Lynn) Lockner and Steve “Weeds” Lockner (Joyce Padget); eight grandchildren: Andrea Lockner, Tim Lockner, Tami Cornett, Ryan Lockner, Josh Lockner, Stacie Lockner, Scott Lockner and Eric Lockner; 10 great-grandchildren; and three special former daughter-in-laws: Rita Lockner, Norma Lockner and Debbie Lockner.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 24 at Haren-Wood Funeral Chapel in Payette, ID. Funeral services will be held 10 am Thursday July 25 at The First Church of the Nazarene located at 1131 Alameda Dr. Ontario, OR.
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Payette.
