He worked as a welder in California at the shipyards. He also invented horse stalls in airplanes and transported race horses. He moved back to Bigfork, MN and worked at Kocians, then for SCEP out of Marcell before retiring. He loved fishing and horseshoes.
He was preceded in death by wife Fern in 1985, a brother, sister, and daughter-in-law Norma.
Maynard is survived by his sons: Richard and Bob (Diane); brothers: Wayne (Janette), and David (JoAnne); two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; special friend and companion, Betty Eckert and her children; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; also close neighbor Mike and Sheri Sitz and their family.
Burial will be in Bigfork Cemetery
