Wade opened a grocery store in Huntington on 12th & 4th Ave., which he operated for years. At the time there was a grocery store on 12th & 5th named "Piggly Wiggly". He and his sons decided they would name their store " Hoggly Woggly". About 2 months later a lawyer knocked on his door and told him he could not use that name because a hog and a pig were the same thing. He drove downtown in his Model T Ford to see his lawyer, who told him he could probably beat the case, but it would cost him $300 to $400.00. So he drove back to his store and said to his sons " Boys, get your brushes out and take off the paint, it ain't worth paying $400.00 to keep".
