Mrs. Jennie F. Lane of Wood, died on Saturday, March 31, 1951, at 3:15 p.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon where she had been a patient for eleven days. She was born on January 13, 1882, in Pogue, the daughter of Samuel and Amanda (Jordon) Painter. Her husband, Bruce M. Lane preceded her in death. Surviving are 7 children: Charles Lane, Robertsdale; Tressa (Mrs. Glenn Miller), Clear Ridge; Wilmer Lane, Todd; Ira E. Lane, Broad Top City; Mildred (Mrs. B. Taylor), Wood; and Misses Lottie and Mabel Lane, both at home. Eight brothers and sisters: Mrs. Blanche Kline, Huntingdon; Winfield Painter, Altoona; Charles Painter, Pitcairn; Harry Painter, Duncansville; Joseph Painter, Rockhill Furnace; William Painter, Three Springs; Walter Painter, Three Springs; and Sylvester Painter, Coatsville; along with 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, also survive. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Wood Methodist Church with the Rev. O. R. Williams officiating. Interment will be made in the Broad Top I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the late home from noon Monday until time of services.
