Kazimieras Barčys, son of Juozapas Barčys and his wife Jadvyga Blažytė, the peasants of Jurbarkas rural district and community, was born on August 17, 1878 in the village of Kalnėnai. He was baptized on August 18, 1878 in Jurbarkas RCC by administrator priest Kazimieras Marcinkevičius. Godparents were peasants Antanas Banaitis with Petronėlė Paulaitytė (rec. no. 98, pages 159v and 160)

Casimir Burchess, 76. a Gary resident for 48 years, died this morning at his home after a lingering illness. He was a member of the West Side Lithuanian Political and Benefit Club at St. Casimir's Catholic Church. Survivors: wife, Catherine; daughter, Mrs. Joseph Banzen; five sons, Charles, Daniel, William, Anthony and Frank, all of Gary; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lockaitis and Mrs. Julia Zickus, both of Chicago; and four grandchildren. Services at 8:30 a. m. Monday at the Pruzin Funeral Home and at 9 a. m. at St. Casimir's Church with the Rev. Michael Zickuras officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p. m. Sundav at the funeral home.
