Adlin Gay "Cookie" Wildman, 63, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at her home in Locust Grove. She was born in on Feb. 26, 1942, in Marion County, W.Va.
She was a 1960 graduate of Bentleyville High School in Pennsylvania and was Methodist.
Ms. Wildman is survived by six children, Carl Grohs Jr. of Waynesboro, Thomas Grohs of Fredericksburg, John Grohs of Front Royal, Michelle Grohs of Chester Gap, Jay Childrey of Amissville and Kim Garver of Hawaii; two sisters, Rosa McElroy of West Virginia and Patricia Jeffries of Locust Grove; two brothers, Thomas Wildman Jr. of Maine and Robert Wildman of Amissville, and 14 grandchildren.
Her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas A. Wildman Sr., and a brother, Charles A. Wildman preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. The Rev. J. Richard Winter will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Catlett Cemetery.
