Cambridge City, IN - Alice M. Heaston went to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 17, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born in East Bernstadt, Kentucky on February 10, 1933 to Otto and Martha Gibbs, who preceded her in death. On November 28, 1962 she married Charles Fairchild, and moved to Cambridge City, Indiana to live and raise their family. Alice was a homemaker her entire life, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Charles died on April 6, 1996. On January 27, 2000 she married Raymond Heaston and they spent twelve wonderful years together before Ray died on March 20, 2012. Alice was a member of Cambridge City Assembly of God (The River). She loved to tend her flower gardens, travel and take time to be with family and friends.
Alice is survived by four children, Ray (Linda) Fairchild of Kokomo, IN, Lee (Dee) Fairchild of Goldsby, OK, Charlene (John) Denny and Orleanais (Mark) Minch, both of Indianapolis, IN; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Seeley of Connersville, IN; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda Fairchild; five brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call on Friday July 19, 2013 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services willl be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the funeral home with Bro. William Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
