Born January 18, 1944, in Marion, N.C., he was the son of the late Oscar Brian and Maggie Lawing Morgan.
He was the project superintendent for 25 years in Baltimore for Cianbro Corporation, which is based in Pittsfield, Maine. He was a member of Calvary Independent Baptist Church of Ridgeville in Mount Airy, and was an avid gardener.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is daughter, Talara Michele Kumrow, of Westminster; and sons, Carl B. Morgan Jr., of Westminster, and Steven Brian Morgan, of Finksburg. He is also survived by two brothers and four sisters in North Carolina and four grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m., at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.
Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Tom Parris.
Interment will be in his church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
