Rosa Belle Noyes and her husband farmed on their homestead on the Big Flat, west of Turner for a number of years before moving to Chinook. She came to Billings in 1983.
She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and enjoyed cooking, entertaining, playing bridge and caring for her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Noyes, 96, of 1415 Yellowstone River Road, died Sunday in Yellowstone County Nursing Home.
She was born in Livingston, a daughter of Milton and Henrietta Bean, Sr. She attended schools in Forsyth and in Salt Lake City, Utah, then moved with the family to Centennial Valley, south of Dillon. She married C. Raymond Noyes on July 15, 1909, in Dillon. He died in 1965.
Survivors include two sons, Carl of 2622 Rimrock Road and Roy of Hot Springs; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great– grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook with burial in Kuper Memorial Cemetery, Chinook. Smith Downtown Chapel of Billings is in charge of local arrangements.
