Hale Alverson, 84, 102 Morrings Park Drive, Naples, Florida, died Wednesday, Aug 24, 1988, in Morrings Park Health Care Center, after a ling illness. Born Dec. 10, 1903, in Rockford, son of Albert Eddie and Ida Phinney Alverson. Moved to Florida in 1985 from Roscoe. Married Mary Swensen in 1932; she died in 1974. Then married Elizabeth Craft in Warren, PA., May 1975.
He was a manufacturing executive for Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. many years, later Sundstrand Corp. before retiring. Member Cathedral of St. Peter, Rockford Country Club, University Club of Rockford. Graduated from Rockford High School and Princeton University in 1924.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, Naples; son William H. Alverson, Milwaukee, Wis.; daughter, Mary (Charles J.) Fields, Lake Forest; and five grandchildren.
