Mary D. Robel, 90, a resident of Shenandoah Senior Living Community, and formerly of 185 Weston Place, Shenandoah, died Wednesday at the facility.
Born in Shenandoah, March 13, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Richard F. Dresher Sr. and Sally F. Reich.
She was employed in the local garment industry for many years and was a member of ILGWU.
Mary was a lifetime member of the Lutheran faith, but attended Trinity United Church of Christ, Shenandoah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Adam, at birth; a daughter, N. Helen Boyer; three brothers, Alfred, Grant and Richard Dresher Jr.; three sisters, Nettie Peters, Rebecca Novak and Ruth Roberts.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan Balitchik and her husband, Robert, Shenandoah; a sister, Arlene Murphy, Shenandoah Senior Living Community; a grandson, Paul Boyer, Llewellyn; a granddaughter, Alison Boyer, serving in the Army; two great-grandchildren, Ellayna and Alexander; nieces and nephews
Scriptures services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Church of Christ, Shenandoah, with the Rev. Dr. John Reid officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
