He had been the manager of the credit department of Noland Plumbing in Washington, D.C. for 15 years. He was married to Annie Lee (Denning) Allen for 3 year and had a 6 month old son. He had a sister and 3 brothers. His mother was Mrs. Emma Allen Massey of Mount Olive.
