Donna R.Ludington, age 64, of North Judson, formerly of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at the Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Valparaiso. On January 6, 1938 she was born in LaPorte, the daughter of Walter and Phebe (nee: Ebey) Pfeiffer. In 1967 she married Robert Ludington in Valparaiso. He preceded her in death in 1986. Donna was a graduate of Kouts High School and worked as a nurses aide at Porter Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts, shopping and eating out in a restaurant. Survivors include one daughter; Cathryn (Bob) Cain of North Judson, three sons; Lee (Cindy) Kleist of Valparaiso; Garry (Bonnie) Kleist of Griffith, IN, Larry (Jan) Kleist of Kansas City, KS; eight grandchildren and one brother; Bob Pfeiffer in Illinois. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son; Robert Ludington, Jr. in 1975; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2002 at Moeller Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Holland officiating. Burial will be in Ludington Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
