Marn Ada Rogers, 10-year-old of Thomas Park and Verda Hewlett Rogers, was struck by a truck and fatally injured this morning at eight-forty o'clock on her way to school in Peterson, Morgan county.
The child had paused by the side of the road to watch a Union Pacific train go by and turned suddenly to run across the street. Henry Morgan of Layton, driver of the truck declared he did not see the girl until the machine had struck her. He picked her up, taking her to her home, where she died at ten o'clock.
The little girl was born at Peterson on January 18, 1923, but had lived five years with her family at Point of Rocks Wyo. She was a member of the L. D. S. Sunday school and primary, and was in the fourth grade of the Peterson school. The father is signal maintainer for the Union Pacific Railway.
Surviving are the parents, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Hewlett of Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Rogers of Morgan; and the following brothers and sister: Thane, Denny, Aldine, and Donna Rogers.

Pallbearers were Dale Poll, Vine Poll, Max Rogers, Frank Bohman, Bruce Robison and Vaughn Pendleton, all young schoolmates.
