Ingram H. Nesseth, 85, of Kenyon, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home.

Ingram was born July 16, 1928 in Zumbrota, Minnesota the son of Simon and Ingebor (Jacobson) Nesseth. He was baptized into faith and confirmed his faith at Vang Lutheran Church. Ingram was raised and attended country school in the Nansen area also attended school at Kenyon High School. His first job was learning the trade of becoming a cheese maker. He worked at North Star Creamery in Kenyon. He was united in marriage to Beverly Wallaker on September 4, 1949 in Holden Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in the Kenyon area.

In 1957, Ingram owned and operated the Kenyon Dairy delivering milk, cheese and butter to homes in Kenyon, West Concord and Nerstrand which he did until 1980. Ingram then began working at Carleton College in Northfield and in his retirement years he served as custodian at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Ingram was a very patient and quiet man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an excellent golfer. He loved watching his grandchildren in their activities. Homemade soups, dumplings and homemade baked beans were some of Ingram''s specialties. He was a great cook and rarely shared his recipes even with his family. Ingram kept busy playing cards with family and friends and he also enjoyed doing word puzzles. He was a longtime member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Nesseth of Kenyon; three sons Steven (and Jane) Nesseth of Faribault; Bradley (and Carmen) Nesseth of Kenyon; Thomas (and Nona) Nesseth of Shorewood; a daughter, Mary (and Darin) Zimmerman of Cedar Rapids, IA; his sister Sandra (and Harold) Fogelson of Kenyon; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother-in-law Owen Musgjerd of Rochester and a sister-in-law Audrey Nesseth of Kenyon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Orester Nesseth; two sisters Donna Musgjerd and Joan Flom; and a nephew Craig Fogelson.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenyon with the Reverend Duane Everson officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery in Kenyon. Memorials are preferred to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kenyon.
