She was born Aug. 8, 1921, in North Powder, Ore., to William and Viola Lovern and completed her schooling there. She lived in Kelso and Portland before moving to Sunnyside, Wash., in 1939, where she married Fred C. Templin. He preceded her in death. She later married David Daniel Kraft. He also preceded her in death. From 1963 to 1978, she lived in Whittier, Calif., and in Beaverton, Ore., until 1998, when she moved to Kelso to be near family.
Mrs. Kraft worked for Montgomery Ward in Whittier and Beaverton in the collections department until retiring in 1986. She enjoyed reading, gardening, feeding and watching birds and spending time with family.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Hallom of Longview and Lorna McCormick of Chino, Calif.; two sons, Roger W. Templin of Kelso and Stuart Templin of Battle Ground, Wash.; three brothers, William Lovern of Anchorage, Alaska, Robert Lovern of Medford, Ore., and Dr. Jack Lovern of Yakima, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Kraft was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruther Lovern, Lucille Barnett and Louella Newberger; and a great-grandson, Michael Loney.
A family graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens with pastor Ned Landers officiating.
