Aquilin Abler, 68, of Mount Calvary, died Monday morning at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac after an illness of nine months.

He was born Feb. 13, 1914, at Mount Calvary, son of the late Stephen Abler and Mrs. Rosa Krones Abler. He married the former Lillian Stenz on June 8, 1937. The couple resided in Mount Calvary all their married life.

He served in the US Navy during World War II on the battleship New Jersey.

Mr. Abler was a plumber for 25 years, and a member of Fond du Lac Local 206. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary.

He is survived by his mother of Fond du Lac; his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Mary) Will of St. Cloud; two sons, Arthur of Winneconne, and Stephen of Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Rufinus and Adolph, both of Fond du Lac, and Othmar of Mount Calvary; seven sisters, Irene Steffes, Mrs. William Davis, Mrs. Glendola Young, all of California; Mrs. Regina Arena of Waukesha; Mrs. Cora Wrensch of Brookfield; Mrs. John Schmitz of Marytown, and Mrs. Clifford Balow of Detroit, Mich. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services were held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mount Calvary. The Rev. Rupert Dorn, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
