George Hart
AKIN --- George Allen Hart, 75, of Kalamazoo, Mich., formerly of Akin, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, 1988, in Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton, with burial in Knob Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Hart was a carpenter in Kalamazoo. He was a former member of the Akin Baptist Church. He was born Aug. 18, 1913, in Carbondale to Henry and Lillie (Hedges) Hart. He married Charlene Hatchett in 1939. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jerry and Donald Hart, both of Kalamazoo, and Michael Hart of Mattawan, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
