Cedar City, UT - Dora Lee Snyder, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at her home on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Dora Lee was born on October 4, 1932, in Bluebell, Utah, to Olavus (Oliver) Leroy Bowden & Artemisia Foote. She married her sweetheart, Don Chancey Snyder on September 29, 1950. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple.

She loved being a homemaker. When her children grew older, she was employed in the health care industry and worked a number of years for Intermountain Health Care. She was adventurous in her younger and healthier years and had a great love for the outdoors. She loved animals. She enjoyed gardening and being surrounded by flowers. She also enjoyed genealogy and her current handiwork project was never far from her side. Dora Lee was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in numerous callings over the years, including serving with her husband in the St. George Temple. She was passionate about compassionate service and coordinated her ward's efforts to serve for many, many years. She found interest in everyone she met and would happily engage in conversation with anyone, sometimes for hours on end.

She is survived by: her daughter, Anna Childs; and three sons, Roland (Denise), Larry and Paul (Jill); She was loved by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joy Jacobsen. She was preceded in death by: her husband; four sisters; three brothers; and a grandson.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the Cedar City 11th Ward LDS Chapel, 1650 West Center Street, Cedar City, UT. Graveside services and interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Cedar City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all those who have loved and cared for Dora Lee through the years.
