Mrs. Ellis was apparently in her usual health throughout the day Friday, attending to her customary household duties and making no mention of feeling ill. A few moments before she passed away and before medical aid could be summoned she was seized with the fatal attack and failed with startling rapidity to the end.
Mrs. Ellis was born in the town of Ellisburg, the daughter of William and Nancy Saunders Brimmer. The greater part of her life was passed in the town of Hounsfield, where she had many friends and was highly esteemed by all. She was 78 years of age on Sept 8 last. She is survived by one son Frank F. Ellis, with whom his mother resided; one sister, Mrs. Cynthia Cheever, who lived in Iowa; and three brothers, Henry and John Brimmer of the town of Hounsfield, and Porter Brimmer, who lives in California.
The funeral will be held Monday morning at 10:00. Interment will be made in Brookside cemetery.

Following the exertion of her accustomed little run from the barn to the house to rid herself of a flock of chickens and ducks that she had been feeding, MRs. Harriet M. Ellis of Hounsfield was taken suddenly ill Friday afternoon and in a few minutes she died. She complained of feeling badly when she reached the house and laid down on a couch here her breath became shorter and shorter until she expired. Coroner H. L. Smith was notified, and on investigation concluded that death was due to heart failure caused by the exertion.
Mrs. Ellis was born in Ellisburg 74 years ago and had resided in that section of the county all her life. She had always enjoyed unusually good health up to her sudden death. At the time of her death she was living with her son, Fred F. Ellis, with whom she had made her home for some time. Besides this son she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Cynthia Cheever, and three brothers, Henry Brimmer of this city, John Brimmer of Hounsfield and Porter Brimmer of California.
