Ada Gray Turner,98, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 13, 2013.

Ada was born on August, 22, 1915 in Farmville, NC, daughter of the late Sallie Wooten May and Benjamin Robert May. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Walter Glasco Turner; two brothers and six sisters.

Ada is a member of First Advent Christian Church, a former member of Charity Baptist Church, where she would love to sing in the choir. She loved working in her garden and spoiling her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a Christian lady with a strong faith and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Ada is survived by her children: Geraldine Hoffman and Barbara Costin and her husband, B.C Costin, Sr. all of Wilmington; son, Troy Turner and his partner, John Prues of San Diego, CA; a special friend, Virginia Thigpen; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday July 16, 2013 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive Wilmington, NC 28403.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Roland Dauphanise and Pastor Sam Hill officiating. Graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ben Register, Ron Register, Ken Hoffman, Matthew Costin, B. C. Costin, Jr. and Devin Smith with Tyler Smith as a Honorary Pallbearer.
