Her funeral was attended by hundreds of people and was standing room only in that large church...a testament to how much she was loved and how much of an impact she had on so many people. She loved her son, her family and friends, everything purple, and just plain life itself. She was never without a beaming smile, and she could make even the darkest moments seem not quite so dark. She will be forever missed by the hundreds of people she touched along the way.

I hope you won't be mad at me
Cause I couldn't let it go
I held on to my purple balloon
And I wanted you to know
Cause watching that balloon float above
Would cause me too much pain
I couldn't let it fly away
It would be like losing you again
I want to hold your memory forever in my heart
And I couldn't send the balloon to heaven
Each time I tried, I fell apart
I think about you every day
And listen for your call
But each time I look at my phone screen
There's nothing there at all
Maybe I'll send another one
But this balloon is mine
I know it sounds selfish
But I still need some time
You know me pooh, I'm different
You would tell me that was true
So part of me thinks you'd understand
Why holding onto this balloon means holding on to you
