Alexander "Alex" Nels Lindholm, 24, of Fargo, ND, previously of Pierre, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 in Pierre.
Alex was born May 24, 1989 to Bruce and Vanoosheh Lindholm in Rapid City, SD. Alex grew up in Pierre attending Washington Elementary School, Georgia Morse Middle School, graduating from Riggs High School in 2007. Following high school, Alex moved to Rapid City where he attended the South Dakota School of Mines and then to St. Cloud, MN where he attended St. Cloud State. Alex began playing hockey in first grade. His passion for hockey only grew as he continued to play through high school and even later in Rapid City where he was able to play with his sister. Alex developed a love of computers at very early age when his family bought their first DOS PC in the early 1990's. His understanding of computer processes and equipment only grew through his drive to learn. This vast knowledge and level of understanding of computers afforded him ability to make a living as a Network Engineer doing something he loved. Alex was a car fanatic who developed an interest early on. From his interest in Jeeps and AMCs to his recent interest in BMWs, he enjoyed driving, racing, and working on them to make them the best that they could be. Alex excelled at everything and anything that he put his mind to. Alex was always there for his family and served as a mentor and best friend to his siblings. His family and friends will forever miss his laugh and caring ways.
Grateful for having shared in his life are his parents brother, Lucas Lindholm, sister, Adrienne Lindholm, maternal grandmother, Nora Holso,paternal grandparents, LeRoy Lindholm and Pat Jurisch along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Alex was preceded in death by his sister, Caitlin Lindholm and maternal grandfather, Kooros Azartash.
