Walter F. Eckenrode, 43, of Stuart blvd., NE., died Tuesday after an illness of four months. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Eckenrode; four sons, Sylvester, Walter, Robert, and Richard at home five daughters, Rita, Annabeth, Mary and Isabella at home, and Mrs. John Ehmer, jr., of this city; his father, Charles Eckenrode, sr., of York, Pa.; two brothers, Charles Eckenrode, jr., and Lawrence Eckenrode, of Elgin, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Guhl and Mrs. Walter Dellar, of New York. Mr. Eckenrode was a general building contractor. He was a resident of this city 15 years.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in. at St. Mary's Catholic church. Interment will be made in St. Joseph's cemetery. The body will remain at the Paquelet funeral home until the time of the funeral.
