ROBERT ALES, 84, of Memphis, passed away on May 13, 2007 at the Methodist University Hospital. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Macon Road Church of Christ, and served in the Army during WWII. His visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Family Funeral Care on Summer Avenue. His service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Midtown. Mr. Ales is the widower of Hazel "Arlene" Ales. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Ales, brother, Russell Ales, and a stepson, Bobby Mays. He is survived by three stepsons, Michael Mays of Bartlett, Bill Mays and Larry Mays, both of Memphis; two sisters, Stella Dees of Eudora, MS and Eula Burt of Ashland, KY, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
