Bertha was born on July 5, 1915 in Little Falls, Minnesota to the late John & Frances (Kupka) Wiherski. She grew up and attended school in Little Falls. Bertha was united in marriage to Mathew Litke on October 9, 1935 at Our Lady o Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls. She was a life-long resident of Morrison County, Minnesota. Bertha worked at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls for 32 years and later worked for St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. She was a member of St. Mary's Senior Choir, Christian Mothers, Secular Franciscans and volunteered her time at St. Otto's Care Center, Lutheran Care Center and the Senior Center, all in Little Falls. Bertha enjoyed flowers, nature, knitting, cooking, baking and traveling. Bertha is survived by her sons, Gene Litke & wife Mary of Anoka, MN, Virg Litke & wife Myrna of Cushing, MN and Gerry Litke & wife Kathy of Little Falls, MN; daughters, Rita Boros & husband Tony of Sobieski, MN and Shirley Kraus & husband Dale of Ramsey, MN; a sister, Margaret Kubinski of St. Paul, MN; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Mathew Litke; 5 brothers and 1 sister.
