Florence Marie (Blough) Custer, 88, of Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin, formerly of Boswell RD 1, died April 28, 1995, at the manor. Born June 13, 1906, in Scalp Level, daughter of Samuel and Lydia Viola (Eash) Blough. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George W., in 1966; children: George W., Lee W, and Howard E.; brothers, Sterling, Foley and John, sister, Evelyn, and granddaughters, Florence and Nicole Ann Horner. Survived by these children: Esther V., wife of Ernest E. Burkhart, Ocala, Fla.; Marie, wife of Carl L. King, Boswell RD 1, Betty L., wife of Arthur G. Horner of Levittown, Robert E., Confluence, and stepdaughter, Catherine Corbett of Stoystown. Also 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. A sister of Mary Miller of Johnstown; Ivy Bush of Meyersdale, Violet Miller of Johnstown, Jay E., married to Martha Bender, Oak Grove, and Donald, married to Mary Burkhardt of Davidsville. Also survived by sister-in-law, Harriet Blough of Mine 40, and daughter-in-law, Betty Custer, Arbutus Village, Johnstown. Member of Jerome Church of the Nazarene. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Richard M. Jones officiating.
