Pete Encinias, 49, a lifetime resident of Moriarty, NM, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2003. Pete was born Nov. 2, 1953 in Moriarty, NM to Segundo and Florinda (Chavez) Encinias. Pete married Lucille M. Gillespie, in Moriarty, NM on September 20, 1975. Pete was a ranch hand for Bill Kings Ranch, and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Pete will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Lucille M. Encinias, of Moriarty, NM; one son Pete Encinias Jr. of Moriarty, NM; two daughters Pearl and husband Robert Sparks, of Albuquerque, NM, and Kimberlee and husband Geno Chavez, of Moriarty, NM; his mother Florinda Encinias, of Moriarty, NM; five brothers Lizardo and wife Celina Encinias, Raymond and wife Carmen Encinias, Adan and wife Dollie Encinias, Speedy and wife Karen Encinias, Martin and wife Lisa Encinias, and sister-in-law Mela Encinias; seven sisters, Clora and husband, Joe Lopez, Henrietta Romero, Erma Gonzales, Lucy and husband, Anthony Orio, Elena and husband, Larry Irvin, Dorothy Encinias, and Tommie Encinias; and five grandchildren. Pete was preceded in death by his father Segundo, and three brothers Amadeo, Frank, and Victor Encinias. A Rosary will be recited Friday October 10, 2003, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Mass will be celebrated Saturday October 11, 2003, 11:00 a.m. with Father Anthony Martinez officiating, also at the Church. Burial will follow at the Mt Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty, NM. Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Gonzales, Kyle Encinias, Francisco Romero, Eric Encinias, Stanley Henson, David Ortiz, Renita Encinias, and Joni Irvin. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Kyle Sparks, Lindsey Sparks, Tristan Encinias, Kaitlyn Chavez, and Laney Chavez.
