Crescent City - Word comes from Greer, S.C., of the death of Rev. Thomas C. Potter (1835-1905), of consumption. Mr. Potter was for seven years prior to June 1900, pastor of the Presbyterian church here, and was greatly esteemed as a citizen and Christian minister. Since leaving Crescent City he has served as pastor of the Presbyterian church at Greer. News of his death has occasioned much sorrow among former parishioners. (Palatka News Obituary dtd Friday, 22 Dec 1905.) .
