Edward John (aka Jack, aka E.J.) Munyon, son of Henry and Eliza (Brandenburgh) Munyon. Born about 1853 in Athens Co., OH, probably in York Twp. Moved with family to Vernon Co. (then Bad Axe), WI, about 1855. Married Mina Brown there in 1878. Had son Gail in WI, then moved to Fairview, Russell Co., KS, and then to Chama, Rio Arriba Co., NM, then settled on a small farm near Rockwood, La Plata Co., CO, where two daughters were born. Shot to death by former Sheriff Perley Wasson near Rockwood on 13 Oct. 1886; Wasson tried and acquitted a year later.
