(Dad) Thompson on August 14, 1890 at Phillipsburg, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Thompson made their home at Stuttgart, Kansas, where Mr. Thompson was a Railroad Agent for the Rock Island RR. He retired from the RR in 1902 and took up a homestead in Nebraska, later moving to Colorado Springs. No task was too large or small for her, she often administered the sick and ill assisting Dr. Lottie Law and Dr. Bundy in their homes. She was equally capable of tilling to soil, and taking care of livestock. Though Mother Thompson had very little formal education she always had keen interest in local, state, and National affairs.
