Mr. Scroggins passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at his home. He was born August 9, 1930, east of Francis, OK to W. H. “Dink” and Annie Matthews Scroggins and he was raised on the farm near Cotton Creek. He attended Cedar Grove Elementary, Francis High School and East Central University. Truman entered the U. S. Air Force at age 18 in 1948. He served almost 21 years in the USAF, retiring as CMSgt.
He married Mary Nell Brooks of Lula, OK on September 1, 1951. She preceded him in death in 2008. Once Truman retired from the Air Force, he couldn’t wait to get back home and begin his second career as a rancher. He was very active in the Church of Christ in Francis and in community affairs by serving on multiple committees and councils in Francis and Ada.
He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Kreis and Leslie Molina and her husband Joe; five grandchildren, Corbin Kreis and wife Ashley, Leslie Dawn Strange, Emily Calise and husband Greg, Ben Molina and wife Dana and Ryan Molina; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his siblings, Dellie Scroggins and wife Christine, Carlus Scroggins and Clara Hooser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and siblings, Leon Scroggins, Eual Scroggins and Clarissa Nickerson.
