Olin Greer Phillips of Everett, Washington, went to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, April 22, 2013. He was born in Cramerton, North Carolina on April 29, 1924, to the late George Milton Phillips and his wife, Iona (Barker) Phillips.
Olin served in our nation's military for over 20 years, (1943-45) in WWII. U.S. Army, (1956-57) Army National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard (1957-74). He was an expert rifleman and earned five Bronze stars.
He is survived by two brother-in-laws, Caroll Watts and wife, Pauline of Gasonia, NC and L.B. Watts and his wife, Martha of Belmont, NC; and one sister-in-law, Mozell Phillips of Cramerton, NC.
Olin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eloise in 2010, and was a faithful member of the Seattle Baptist Church in Edmonds, WA.
