Suggested edit: I am aware that his marriage record states his parents were Francis Hardin and Hester Faith, however, census records show his mother to actually be Francis and Hester's daughter, Lucy A Hardin. I can find no record she ever married, but John did have a brother Roscoe, buried next to their mother, Lucy. Also note if Hester was his mother she would have been 50 years old, not impossible, but unlikely to have been his and Roscoe's mother.
