LEE, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mrs. Della Anna (Lasher) Dewkett ( 96y ) d: March 14, 1984 - of Church Street, died Wednesday at home. Born in West Stockbridge, she lived in Monterey as a child and moved to Lee in 1900. As a young woman she worked at Baird Mills and the Napkin Factory. Prior to her marriage in 1917 to Arthur S. Dewkett, she worked asa a housekeeper for Mrs. Charles W. Stratton. In 1955, they moved to South Lee when their property was taken to construct the Massachusetts Turnpike. They owned and operated a dairy farm in South Lee. She was a former member of the United Methodist Church. Her husband died in 1975. She leaves two sons, Arthur S. Jr. and William J.; three daughters, Clara M. Andognini, Delia A. Siok and Leda E. Dewkett, all of Lee; a sister, Estella Daniels of Russell; nine grandchildren; six great - grandchildren, and a great - great - grandchild. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Lee, MA. jar END:
