WILL BE HELD MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Gano, 70, who died at a local hospital Friday, will be held at the Weiland funeral parlors at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Mrs. Gano was known as Mother Gano to hundreds of persons who knew her during the six years that she sold newspapers at the Akard Street entrance to the Adolphus Hotel.

Ms. Gano came here from Ohio eight years ago. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Daisy Grant. Her residence was 1410 St. Louis Street.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Pricer, Tom C. Gooch, Emmett Hambrick, Louis C. Egly, J. Waddy Tate, and R. W. Means. Robert H. Coleman, assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
