Loretta Clouse was born October 2, 1933 to Clara B. Herron Thomas and the late Nathan Burr. She passed from this life on April 18, 2005 at Cookeville General Hospital after an extended illness.
She was a retired factory worker for Leisure Life Company and was noted for her quilts and her cooking. She was a member of Bussell Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for many years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alvin Clouse of Cookeville, one son Aaron Clouse of Cookeville, two daughters and a son-in-law, Gloria Clouse and Nancy and Dennis Gaw, of Silver Point. brothers and sister-in-laws, Clay and Frances Thomas of Baltimore, Ralph and Oleda Thomas of Smithville, Clater and Stella Thomas of Cookeville, Austin and Paulette Thomas of Baxter; sister Freida Boyd of Cookeville, Seven grandchildren and their spouses; Jeff and Melody Tollison, Jeremy and Melissa Tollison, Jennifer and Shane Buckley, Joseph, Justin and Joanne Clouse, and Josh Tollison. Four great grandchildren, Bianca, David and Corey Tollison, and Kalie Buckley.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Richard Thomas and a sister Elsie Howell; a brother-in-law Bob Boyd, two nephews Kennie Nash and Sean Anderson.
Funeral services were held on April 20th, at Dyer Funeral Home. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Brothers Joe Britt and Charles Burgess officiated at the Services.
