Passed away at home from cancer, with his wife of 39 years Bobbie Ralley-Orum, at his side. He is survived by his sons Keith (Norma) and Kenneth (Sarah), and grandchildren Lucero, Zachary and Alexander.

Harold was the founder and owner of Halco Electric Services and Accurate Metering Products (AMPS). He began his career in the IBEW, Local 11, at seventeen years of age. His first experiences were in electrical contracting and as his responsibilities, education and knowledge grew, he began to specialize in commercial lighting design, energy management programs and metering services in the 1970's. He worked continuously up to three months ago. As a member of numerous industry groups (IES, IEEE, AMRA, NECA, NETA) and recipient of numerous awards and citations in his chosen fields, he believed his greatest achievement was in mentoring others and illuminating the layman's knowledge of the mysteries of electricity and its proper application in commercial uses. He was a man of great integrity, character and curiosity.

Harold will also be missed by his brothers, Jeffrey and James King.

Harold was cremated at a small family service. A "Celebration Of His Life" will be held on July 17, 2013 at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, 702 E. Florence Blvd, Inglewood 90301. For those who wish to gather after the "Celebration" a buffet brunch will be held immediately following at the Marina Del Rey Hotel, 13534 Bali Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90290.
